The six pointed star represents the hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles. One pointing up to the spiritual and the other pointing down to the material. Long used in magical practice from the ancient world and later co-opted by Judaism.
“The Occult Anatomy of Man: To Which Is Added a Treatise on Occult Masonry” is a 1937 non-fiction book by Manly P Hall. We LOVE many of Hall’s book titles. As the full title of the “Secret Teachings of All Ages” is actually “The Secret Teachings Of All Ages An Encyclopedic Outline Of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic And Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy Being An Interpretation Of The Secret Teachings Concealed Within The Rituals, Allegories, And Mysteries Of All Ages”. LOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Occult Anatomy of Man shares descriptions of how occult (which just means hidden when most people have been programed to think it exclusively means Satanism and Baphomet) systems of the human body are what the world’s various spiritual teachings are esoterically really talking about. This is while many of those within the modern formal structures of exoteric religion have not been publicly willing to accept and/or only realize in private. For sure we can debate anthropocentrism and its negatives, but there is personally resonance with me that man (meaning of course woman and man) is to some extent, in fact “a measure of the universe”.
We have long been wanting to add visuals to the text, and as a result have for numerous years had it on our list to make into a future feature documentary film. The title of which we’ve adjusted to a more simple one of “Occult Anatomy of Man”. Having to date had no correspondence with Hall’s Philosophical Research Society for permission to do so, but the text is seemingly in the public domain.
It’s a fairly short length book and after me putting myself into my own director’s chair for the project, we decided to do a little bit of trimming, cutting out perhaps only 10% of the book to a written script of around 40 pages. Knowing its length could actually fit quite well into the 80 minutes timeline to make an extremely high quality yet very very very low budget documentary feature film, we recorded the audio from the text in a closet of a previous apartment we lived at a couple years back. As with many of our projects which are always in shuffle and flux, we’ve finally gotten around to completing the edit for the audio voice track. Better late than never.

At this point I’ve put little to no visuals to this in an edit and have only cut together the audio. This project has long been on the sidelines and seems to continually be pushed back. Thus, the editing for this narration voice over took over two years of side time working on 15 minutes here and 20 minutes there. We have also started collecting images though and in a dream scenario would find a private occult library, or multiple occult libraries, such as The Ritman Library (Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica) in Amsterdam, which we could travel to that might have occult books that contain esoteric imagery which could be used as the visuals associated with many aspects of the text. Either that or scour the web for pre-existing digital and very hard to find occult and esoteric imagery (like we did for Balanced Opposites, Mystery of History, and parts of Transmutation) regarding the human body which are already in digital form. So if any of you know of anyone with occult libraries or texts which have visuals next to no one has publicly scene which we can get scanning access to, we’re all ears.
So all this being said, since I’d only need a couple thousand images, give us another five years to add or create the visuals. ;) Which may never actually really happen. Or perhaps maybe it will! Either way you fine folks can get a private listen to the narration alone now. Consider it your own private audiobook version of the eyebrow raising text.
