Of course it would allow your own Wi-Fi in your own home to reach you. Just not outside Wi-Fi. So if done well, you should really only see your network instead of a deluge of other peoples networks penetrating your body temple.

I recently installed this in the walls of a bedroom our our families house which we are re-modeling. It would probably be too tin foil hat to have it in the walls of your whole home, but the bedroom where you sleep and thus likely spend 30 to 40% of your time is not a bad idea.
